Math
Envision Math is a comprehensive math program that encourages students to think critically and solve real-world problems. With a blend of interactive lessons, engaging visual aids, and hands-on activities, Envision Math helps students build a solid foundation in mathematics. The program emphasizes understanding math concepts deeply and practicing skills through various activities, helping students grow in confidence and mastery.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS
Our school uses HMH Into Reading, a comprehensive literacy program designed to develop reading, writing, and comprehension skills while fostering a love for learning. The curriculum offers engaging fiction and nonfiction texts, personalized support for students at different levels, and tools to monitor progress. It also integrates social-emotional learning themes to promote empathy and resilience. With family engagement activities included, parents can actively support their child’s literacy journey at home.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Passport to Social Studies is the NYC DOE’s inquiry-based curriculum that helps students explore history, geography, economics, and civics through engaging lessons. It encourages critical thinking and analysis of diverse perspectives using primary sources, maps, and artifacts. The program fosters empathy and social-emotional learning while developing research, writing, and discussion skills. Through this approach, students build an understanding of their community, the broader world, and their role as informed citizens.
SCIENCE
Amplify Science is a science curriculum that blends hands-on investigations, literacy-rich activities, and interactive digital tools to empower students to think, read, write, and argue like real scientists and engineers. It is designed to spark our elementary students’ interest and empower them to ask more questions, think more critically, and generate innovative ideas.
TECHNOLOGY & STEM LAB
In our Technology program and STEM Lab, students engage in hands-on learning that combines science, technology, engineering, and math. Through coding, robotics, digital design, and problem-solving challenges, students build critical thinking skills and creativity. The STEM Lab provides opportunities to explore real-world concepts using innovative tools and technology, empowering students to become confident, curious learners prepared for the future.
STUDIO IN A SCHOOL ARTS PROGRAM
Our school is proud to partner with the Studio in a School Arts Program, bringing professional artists into the classroom to inspire creativity and foster a love for the arts. Through hands-on projects in drawing, painting, sculpture, and more, students explore artistic techniques while developing critical thinking and self-expression. DUAL LANGUAGE
Our Dual Language program provides 2nd and 3rd-grade students with the unique opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish. Through a dynamic, immersive approach, students develop strong language skills while mastering grade-level academic content. This program promotes cultural awareness, cognitive flexibility, and collaboration, empowering students to thrive in a multicultural world.
